FAQs
1. Do you accept insurance?
We do not bill insurance directly. However, we can provide detailed receipts and documentation that you may submit to your insurance provider for possible reimbursement or pre-approval.
2. What’s the difference between Executive Function (EF) coaching and content tutoring?
Executive Function coaching focuses on skill development—such as organization, time management, planning, and study strategies. Content tutoring, on the other hand, focuses on specific academic subjects like math, science, or language arts. While the two often work together, they serve different purposes.
3. Does EF coaching include subject tutoring?
In most cases, yes. EF coaching helps students build the skills they need to succeed across all subjects, but it does not replace content tutoring. Think of EF coaching as providing students with the tools to approach schoolwork more effectively.
If content-related challenges arise, a student’s current tutor may address them during sessions. If the material falls outside the tutor’s scope, we can bring in an additional tutor with expertise in that subject.
4. Who are the tutors at Wright Academics?
Our tutors are experienced educators trained in both academic coaching and content tutoring. Many have specialized training in Executive Functioning, ADHD, and multisensory learning strategies.
We thoughtfully match each student with a tutor who best fits their needs, learning style, and personality—this personalized approach is what sets Wright Academics apart.
5. How long will coaching last?
The length of coaching depends on your child’s goals. Some students see meaningful progress in just a few months, while others benefit from ongoing support throughout the school year. We work closely with each family to create a plan that makes sense for their needs. Consistency, home support, and open communication are key factors in long-term success.
6. How long does it take to get matched with a tutor?
After completing the intake and consultation process, most students are matched with a tutor within one week, depending on availability and specific needs.
7. Do you have to have formal testing before being matched with a tutor?
No, formal testing is not required. Tutor matches are based on your child’s goals, needs, learning style, and personality—information gathered during the intake and consultation. If formal testing results are available, they can be helpful and will be included in our review, but they are not necessary to get started. If you are in need of formal testing, Wright Academics can provide it for you!
8. Do you coordinate with teachers or schools?
Yes. With parent permission, we are happy to collaborate with teachers, school counselors, learning specialists, and therapists to ensure consistent support. Open communication allows us to align strategies, reinforce goals, and keep everyone working toward the same plan for success.
